CHTA PRESIDENT HAILS CARIBBEAN DIVERSITY, BEAUTY AND STRENGTH OF ITS PEOPLE

CHTA President Patricia Affonso-Dass addressing Caribbean Travel Marketplace delegates yesterday. At left is CHTA’s Director General and CEO Frank Comito.

MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA, January 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica (January 30, 2019) – President of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) Patricia Affonso-Dass hailed the diversity of the region, its incredible natural beauty and people as core strengths as she called for the Caribbean to be better known as the most welcoming region in the world.

Kicking off the 37th annual Caribbean Travel Marketplace, the Caribbean's largest tourism marketing event, in Montego Bay, Jamaica yesterday evening, the Barbados-based hotelier said it was time to change the way the world references the region, "from the most tourism-dependent in the world to the world's most desirable, most tolerant and inclusive, most welcoming, most hospitable , most facilitative and investment-friendly, and most environmentally sensitive region in the world."

Speaking on behalf of the region's preeminent private sector trade association and its 33 national hotel and tourism associations, the president warmly welcomed delegates to the conference.

Caribbean Travel Marketplace is hosting the largest group of buyers in its history from the widest number of countries. Sixty new buyer companies out of about 145 have joined the conference this year and CHTA is welcoming the largest contingent of Chinese travel buyers to date along with new buyer companies from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, India, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Poland, Puerto Rico, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

"Our relationship with you, our buyer partners, and your active engagement in promoting and selling our region is integral to the sustainability of our economies and, by extension, the livelihood of our people, and I would like to encourage you to get more actively engaged with the association," she implored. "The diversity of buyers attending Marketplace from around the world ironically reflects the diversity of our Caribbean offerings – a united region with an incredible array of offerings with their own distinct natural beauty, history and culture. This is one of our core strengths," she added.

Pointing to the region's people, s he wants the Caribbean to be known as a region where genuine service is delivered by "regionally proud, highly trained professionals who understand the critical importance of their role and their importance to the success, sustainability and economic viability of the region."

Affonso-Dass, who has championed the theme of "people development" even prior to assuming the role of president last year, asserted that the people of the region are "our most important asset and our most marketable commodity."

In a world that often appears dominated by divisiveness, fear and uncertainty, the CHTA president's dream is for the Caribbean region "to continue to stand strong and united, to be synonymous with a genuine welcome, an authentic experience and excellent service delivered with soul and pride."

She told the 1,000 delegates attending the opening reception that "more and more of our customers are telling us that what they are seeking is a personal connection with our people, a genuine experience, and an opportunity to feel that their being here makes a positive difference. Our responsibility is to ensure that our people have the right training, real opportunities for development and a chance to derive the greatest value for themselves and their families from the industry in which they work."

The CHTA president thanked those in attendance who are supporting the CHTA Education Foundation, calling on more of the delegates to invest in the region's people. To date the foundation has awarded scholarships to more than 400 Caribbean nationals and in 2018 provided certificate training to several hundred employees.

Caribbean Travel Marketplace 2019 is produced by CHTA in collaboration with co-hosts the Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association, the Jamaica Tourist Board and the Jamaica Ministry of Tourism. SUNIL CHATRANI NAMED 2019 HOTELIER OF THE YEAR

Hotelier Sunil Chatrani (center) receives his award from CHTA’s Director General Frank Comito (left) and CHTA President Patricia Affonso-Dass.

MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA, January 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica (January 30, 2019) – Sunil Chatrani, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Elegant Hotels Group, is the Caribbean's 2019 Hotelier of the Year.

The Guyanese-born, Barbados-based hotelier received the top honor at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association's (CHTA) 37th annual Caribbean Travel Marketplace, which opened in Montego Bay yesterday evening.

Chatrani has worked in hotel operations for more than 20 years and currently presides over Elegant's operations of seven hotels and resorts in Barbados, including Crystal Cove Hotel, Turtle Beach Resort, Waves Hotel and Spa, The House, Colony Club Hotel, Tamarind and Treasure Beach Hotel. The group also includes the acclaimed Daphne's Restaurant on Barbados' west coast, sister eatery to Daphne's Restaurant in London.

The exceptional hotelier joined Elegant Hotels Group in 2010, and under his leadership the group recently signed its first management contract in Antigua (with Hodges Bay Resort & Spa) as well as a sales and marketing agreement with The Landings Resort and Spa in St. Lucia.

"It is very overwhelming. The truth is all of us in the industry work very hard on a daily basis and so many other hoteliers are deserving of this," said an elated Chatrani, who thanked the team at Elegant Hotels and his family for their support.

Chatrani's winning developmental strategy builds the profitability of each property with a focused three-step program: Refurbish, Reposition, Reprice. This strategy promotes continuous investment and improvement.

In addition to day-to-day maintenance and regular refurbishment, Chatrani also manages a central fund for financing larger projects each year. He believes that this, as well as the group's outstanding training and service programs, generates tangible improvements in the guest experience at the Elegant Hotels Group properties.

"Sunil is a true Caribbean success story," opined Frank Comito, CHTA's CEO and Director General. "His professional accomplishments have been outstanding, and his commitment to staff and community development is nothing short of exemplary."

Chatrani was Chairman of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association from 2014 to 2016. During the first part of his tenure, he ensured that agreements which helped all hotels finalize access to duty-free concessions were legislated.

He is currently Chairman of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) and the Barbados Tourism Product Authority (BTPA).

changes to NAFTA are expected in the near future based on ongoing trade negotiations. Those who plan to apply for TN visas, as well as their employers, should keep an eye on political developments”

— Magdalena Cuprys, Immigration Lawyer

MIAMI, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, January 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Work visas under NAFTA are currently in the political spotlight because of statements made by President Donald Trump and ongoing trade pact negotiations. In her next article in her Instruction Series on various US Business and Employment-Based Visas, Immigration Attorney Magdalena Ewa Cuprys examines the current state of TN Visas available to Mexican Nationals seeking employment in the United States under NAFTA. The complete article appears on the Blog of Ms. Cuprys at https://magdalenacuprysblog.blogspot.com/

NAFTA is the North American Free Trade Agreement. It creates special economic and trade relationships for the United States, Canada and Mexico. This article shall specifically discuss only the TN Visa requirements and procedure as relates to Mexican Nationals, a separate article regarding Canadian Citizens under NAFTA has previously been published as part of this series and is available on-line below.

The nonimmigrant NAFTA Professional (TN) visa allows citizens of Mexico, as NAFTA professionals, to work in the United States. Lawful Permanent Residents, including Mexican Permanent Residents, are not eligible to apply to work as a NAFTA professional in the USA.

Professionals of Mexico may work in the U.S. under the following conditions:

• The Applicant must be a citizen of Mexico;
• The Employment Position is within a specific Profession and is explicitly designated on the NAFTA Occupation list;
• The Employment Position in the U.S. requires a NAFTA professional;
• The Mexican Applicant shall be employed in a prearranged full-time or part-time job, for a documented U.S. employer (see documentation required).
• Self employment is not permitted under NAFTA;
• The Professional Mexican Citizen possesses the qualifications of the profession.

Mexican Citizens are required to obtain a visa as a NAFTA Professional, which also enables the spouse and children to be able to apply for a visa to accompany or join the NAFTA Professional in the US, as a TD visa holder. When appearing for Consular Interview for visa issuance, it is recommended that the Mexican citizen have the following (non-exhaustive list) of sample evidence for Inspection:
• Request for Admission under TN status to Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection;
• Employment Letter – Evidence of Professional Employment. See Employment Letter below;
• Proof of Professional Qualifications: – such as transcripts of courses attended, grades achieved, professional licenses, certificates, degrees, and/or records of previous employment;
• Proof of ability to meet applicable license requirements;
• Proof of Mexican citizenship- Mexican citizens may present a valid passport in addition to secondary evidence, such as a birth certificate.
• Applicable Filing Fees.

The employer in the U.S. must provide to the TN Visa Applicant a formal Letter of Employment in the United States. The letter must indicate that the position in question in the U.S. requires the employment of a person in a professional capacity, consistent with the NAFTA Occupation List, available at Chapter 16, Annex 1603, Appendix 1603.d.1.
The applicant must present evidence of professional employment to satisfy the Consular/Immigration Officer of one’s plans to be employed in prearranged business activities for a U.S. employer(s) at a professional level. Part-time employment is permitted under NAFTA. Self-employment is strictly prohibited. An employment letter or contract providing a detailed description of the business activities may be provided from the U.S. or foreign employer, and should state the following:

• Activity in which the applicant shall be engaged;
• Purpose of entry;
• Anticipated length of stay;
• Educational qualifications or appropriate credentials demonstrating professional status;
• Evidence of compliance with DHS regulations, and/or state laws; and
• Arrangements for pay.
• Although not required, proof of licensure to practice a given profession in the United States may be offered along with a job offer letter, or other documentation in support of a TN visa application.

Additionally, applicants must demonstrate that they are properly classifiable as NAFTA Professional for TN visa issuance under U.S. law by:

• Education Requirement- The applicant's employer must submit proof that the applicant meets the minimum education requirements or has the alternative credentials set forth in NAFTA agreement, chapter 16 appendix 1603.d.1. Evidence of professional qualifications may be in the form of degrees, certificates, diplomas, professional licenses, or membership in a professional organization. Degrees, diplomas, or certificates received from an educational institution outside the United States must be accompanied by an evaluation by a reliable Credential Evaluation service specializing in evaluating foreign documentation.
• Work Experience Requirement – Documentation which proves the applicant's prior experience should be in the form of letters from former employers. If the applicant was self-employed, business records should be submitted proving such self-employment.

Spouses and children (unmarried children under the age of 21) who are accompanying or following to join NAFTA Professionals (TN visa holders) may receive a derivative TD visa. Applicants must demonstrate a bona fide spousal or parent-child relationship to the principal TN visa holder. Dependents do not have to be citizens of Mexico. Spouses and children cannot work while in the U.S. They are, however, permitted to study. Mexican citizen spouses and children do require visas, and they must have the following documents in their possession when presenting themselves for admission and entry into the US:

• Proof of Mexican Citizenship;
• Proof of relationship to the principal applicant, such as marriage certificate and birth certificate; and
• Photocopies of entry documents of the principal applicant.

The spouse and children of Mexican Nationals must apply to obtain a TD Non-Immigrant visa from a U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Spouses or children following to join must show a valid I-94 Arrival/Departure Record, thereby providing proof that the principal TN visa holder is maintaining his/her TN visa status. The maximum period of admission into the U.S is generally for a period of one year. The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) grants extensions of stay in increments of one year at a time. There is no limit on the number of years a TN visa holder can stay in the United States. However, the TN visa status is only temporary in nature and does not afford the Applicant any Permanent Residence Status.

Applicants should be aware that a visa does not guarantee entry into the United States. The visa allows a foreign citizen to travel to a port-of-entry in the United States, such as an international airport, a seaport or a land border crossing, and at such point may then request permission to enter the U.S.

The Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, has the authority to permit or deny any applicant admission to the United States, and determine your length of stay in the U.S., on any particular visit. Form I-94, Record of Arrival/Departure, which notes the length of stay permitted, is validated by the Immigration Official.

Ms. Cuprys notes that changes to NAFTA are expected in the near future based on statements of President Trump and ongoing trade agreement negotiations. Those who plan to apply for TN visas (as well as their employers) should keep an eye on political developments that may affect TN work visas.

The therapeutic recreation activity organized by MARTI (Marmara Recreational Therapy Istanbul)

Polin Waterparks (TSE:The Experience)

KOCAELİ, DILOVASı, TURKEY, January 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — The therapeutic recreation activity organized by MARTI (Marmara Recreational Therapy Istanbul) comprising the volunteers of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of Marmara University was held at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Silivrikapı Ice Rink under the slogan "We're Overcoming the Barriers on the Ice Rink."

January 30, 2019 (Turkey) – The first part of the activity took place on December 19, 2018 at Silivrikapı Ice Rink (Istanbul) with the contributions of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Youth and Sports Directorate, the support of the Sports Istanbul ice skating trainers, the sponsorship of Polin Waterparks and the participation of the physically-challenged members of the Turkish Paraplegic Association (TOFD).

The story of this sustainable therapeutic recreation project that involves different stakeholders was described by Marmara University Sports Sciences Faculty Lecturer Tayfur Özkan as follows: "The idea for the project came from a presentation that some third-year students prepared for their Recreation course last year; these students are the ones organizing the event today. Twenty volunteer students organized and divided themselves into groups to undertake the tasks of finding equipment, communicating with the societies for the disabled, finding sponsorships, facilities, contacting stakeholder corporations and making use of the social media. After sponsorship discussions were held, an agreement was signed with the sponsor company, and 9 volunteer students conducted this year's project research and operations. The first part of the activity took place on December 19, 2018 at the IMM'S Silivrikapı Ice Rink. Fifteen volunteer students in the third year class of Marmara University Sports Sciences Faculty Sports Management Department (the MARTI group), employees of the IMM Youth and Sports Directorate Sports Services Department, 4 disabled individuals and 1 administrator from the Turkish Paraplegic Association, 4 ice skating trainers from Sports Istanbul Silivrikapı Ice Rink, the Marketing Director of Polin as well as 1 cameraman and 1 photographer from the IMM Web TV team attended the event.

Tayfur Özkan commented on the contributions the project would make and on how they planned for the project to be sustainable: "The project's priority is to provide relief to physically-challenged individuals confined to a wheelchair and provide them respite from their everyday routines and the opportunity to socialize. At the same time, with the training provided to relatives of the disabled, our aim is to enable them to take advantage of sports events and social occasions, either together with their physically-challenged loved one or on an individual basis. This way, the physically-challenged individual will capture a chance to glide on the ice with a specially equipped wheelchair without the need for help from another person. To ensure the project's sustainability, the MARTI group has created an Instagram account (@martihareketi) that is open to the physically-challenged as well as to volunteers that may want to join them by offering to guide them around the ice rink. Four specially equipped wheelchairs have been already delivered to the Silivrikapı Ice Rink to support the project in achieving sustainability. Our students who are in the Sports Management Department and apply their knowledge to the area of Therapeutic Recreation, which is a branch of the Recreation Division, are given the opportunity to gain experience and learn by being in such a sustainable collaborative project."

Tugay Yelce, a student at Marmara University Sports Management Department and a member of the MARTI group, commented: "The project came about with a presentation we made in our class on Recreation. We believed we could carry this out. We believed that the sky was the limit and we could touch people's lives." – Gizem Isık, another student in the same department and also a member of the Martı group, said, remembering the happiness she felt that day, "The day of the event, it was worth everything to see the joy on the faces of those physically-challenged individuals. We are lucky to have had the opportunity to share this happiness with them at that moment."

Ali Kendirici, an employee of the Turkish Paraplegic Association (TOFD) expressed his feelings about this experience by saying, "Dancing on ice was nothing less than a dream for us. I'm so happy to have lived out my dream." Another TOFD employee, Elif Çelik had this to say: "Gliding over the ice was a wonderful feeling. If I were to use just one word to describe it, I would say it was simply 'freedom'." – TOFD member Burhan Abut said, "There's no barrier that the physically-challenged cannot overcome. Let's remove all the barriers."

Söhret Pakis, Director of Marketing and Communications, Polin Waterparks said, "We thank all of the people who contributed their ideas, hearts and efforts to make this journey possible, transforming a student project's dream into reality and making so many people glow with happiness. We on our part as a brand are very happy to have made this tiny contribution to a sustainable social responsibility project that is full of goodness and returns so much back to the community. The credit for the real contribution and labor belongs to the students. Taking their inspiration from nature, they were able to bring together different stakeholders to bring to life a project that touches the hearts of universe. I feel grateful. "

In the second stage of the project, works will continue to enlist the participation of other associations for the disabled, to bring together volunteers and the physically-challenged and to make ice skating courses available to whomever in these groups is interested.

Medias Klinikum’s Recently Results Reinforce and Extend the Positive Effects of Regional Chemotherapy for HN Cancer

Scheme of Carotid Artery Infusion via Jet-Port-Allround Catheters with Chemofiltration

Logo Medias Klinikum GmbH & Co KG

Results from an ongoing phase-II-study of intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy for HN cancer published in the Journal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology

BURGHAUSEN, GERMANY, January 30, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Medias Klinikum GmbH & Co KG, a private hospital specialized in surgical oncology, focusing on the treatment of primary and metastatic solid tumors, announces the publication of an ongoing phase-II-study entitled Short-term intra-arterial infusion chemotherapy for head and neck cancer patients maintaining quality of life in the peer-reviewed Journal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology (DOI: https://doi.org/10.1007/s00432-018-2784-4), that was conducted by Professor Dr. Karl R. Aigner, one of the world’s most experienced experts in the field of regional chemotherapy, and his group. In 1981, he developed the technique of isolated liver perfusion and was the first physician worldwide performing this method in humans using a heart-lung machine.

This data was preceded by a study published in the World Journal of Surgical Oncology, (DOI: https://doi.org/10.1186/s12957-018-1404-8) and a poster presentation at the 38th Congress of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (abstract no. ESSO38-0290 in the Journal of the European Society of Surgical Oncology, EJSO) in Budapest this year.

Commenting on the announcement, Professor Dr. Karl R. Aigner, Head of the Department of Surgical Oncology at Medias Klinikum, said, “The standard head and neck cancer therapies, high-dose radiation accompanied by intravenous cisplatin chemotherapy, lead to satisfying tumor control rates but are often limited because of aggravating adverse effects. Dysphagia, tracheostomy, mucositis, weight loss, functional speech and hearing loss are common side-effects that often result from radiotherapy, increasing the risk of suicide for head and neck cancer survivors compared to other cancer incidences as reported by Green and Griffiths 2014; Anguiano et al. 2012; Misono et al. 2008 and Osazuwa-Peters et al. in 2016. While standard therapies are leading to improved tumor control rates, the problem of severe side-effects, however, not only remains but increases resulting in poor quality of life which is indeed the main reason for the increased suicide rates among HN cancer patients. The results obtained in this retrospective observational cohort study of 97 patients treated with short-term intra-arterial chemotherapy showed that this method not only generates high regional cytostatic concentrations but keeps systemic toxicity very low at the same time. With regard to the good survival rates and consistent quality of life with nearly no toxicity, the approach of short-term intra-arterial chemotherapy for HNC should be considered as a first option in a treatment protocol, even if survival rates with standard therapies are comparably good.

In fact, it is an effective and well-tolerated treatment modality with significant results in terms of long-term tumor control and particularly quality of life (QoL).

About Medias Klinikum, Department of Surgical Oncology
Medias Klinikum is a private clinic located in Burghausen (Bavaria), Germany specialized in regional chemotherapy (RCT), a targeted treatment modality for primary and metastatic tumors that generates high locoregional drug exposure and is less toxic. Looking back at 40 years of expertise in this special field of surgical oncology, Prof. Dr. med. Max Lifchitz plays Franz Liszt’s Bagatelle Without Tonality as part of a recital with commentary featuring works by composers from throughout the Americas.

….a composer of brilliant imagination and a stunning, ultra-sensitive pianist…”

— San Francisco Chronicle

NEW YORK, NY, US, January 30, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — On Sunday evening February 10 pianist Max Lifchitz will perform Franz Liszt's Bagatelle Without Tonality as part of a recital with commentary featuring works by composers from throughout the Americas.

The event will be held at the Placido Domingo Hall of the National Opera Center (330 7th Ave – Floor 7) in Manhattan. It will start at 7 PM and will end around 8:30 PM. The Auditorium is ADA Accessible. Admission is free (no tickets needed).

The event is part of the 2019 Composers Now Festival taking place throughout New York City. It will be broadcast live through the internet starting at 7 PM (EST) @https://www.youtube.com/user/NatOperaCenterLIVE

The program will explore the stylistic implications of Liszt's prophetic composition written in 1885. It will feature first hearings in New York of concise works by Canadians Allan Crossman and Leslie Opatril; Argentinean Alicia Terzian; Brazilian Gilberto Mendes; Mexican Manuel Enriquez; as well as Americans Ruth Crawford, Ssu-Yu Huang, Paul Konye, Robert Martin, John McGinn, Joseph Rivers and William Toutant. The program will also introduce a new composition written for the occasion by Mr. Lifchitz.

Franz Liszt wrote the Bagatelle Without Tonality – a work he considered to be his Mephisto Waltz No. 4 – a year before his passing. Widely considered to be the first piece in the history of western music not to follow the principle of tonal gravity, Liszt's enigmatic composition antedated the varied musical trends that
emerged during the first half of the 20th century. The works by other composers on the program manifest a wide variety of approaches to the concepts Liszt explored in his prophetic composition. Crawford, Enriquez and Martin explore musical ideas that travel farther than the point where the romantic master adjourned. Others such as Terzian, Mendes, Opatril and Huang retain elements of traditional harmony while refashioning them in inventive and unexpected ways.

Active as pianist and composer, Max Lifchitz has appeared as soloist with among others, the Albany Symphony Orchestra, the Clifton Park Chamber Orchestra, Mexico's National Symphony Orchestra, Peru's National Symphony and the Neuchatel Orchestra in Switzerland. The San Francisco Chronicle described him as "a composer of brilliant imagination and a stunning, ultra-sensitive pianist" while the New York praised commented on his "clean, measured and sensitive performances." A graduate of The Juilliard School and Harvard
University, Mr. Lifchitz is the founder and director of the New York City based North/South Chamber Orchestra now celebrating its 39th consecutive season. His numerous recordings are widely available through iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, YouTube and other commercial music streaming services.

The event is made possible in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs; a grant from the Women's Philharmonic Advocacy and the support of many generous individual donors.

Clay Clark, Founder of the Thrivetime Show, Welcomes Horst Schulze, Former Ritz-Carlton President to his Podcast

Horst Schulze, Former President of Ritz-Carlton

The recent episode featuring Horst Schulze provided a wealth of information about the inner workings of one of the most profitable hotel companies of all time.

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, January 29, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Clay Clark, founder of Thrive15 and creator of the “Thrivetime Show – Business School Without the BS,” recently celebrated the two-year anniversary of his podcast November 5th, 2018 with over half a million monthly downloads, and now he’s had the pleasure of welcoming Horst Schulze, the former president of Ritz-Carlton, to his successful podcast.

The Thrivetime Show allows viewers to “Experience business school without the BS” with Clark and his co-host: optometrist turned business tycoon Doctor Robert Zoellner. The award-winning team has been featured on Forbes, Fast Company, Bloomberg, and Pando Daily. Currently, the podcast has over 1,300 episodes, and has featured Emmy Award-Winners, New York Times best-selling authors, NFL Players, and NBA Players.

The team’s recent episode featuring Horst Schulze provided a wealth of information about the inner workings of one of the most profitable luxury hotel companies of all time.

As founding president and COO of Ritz-Carlton, Horst Schulze established a new standard of excellence in his industry, creating one of the most recognizable international brands, forever altering the very nature of customer service by creating a culture of “ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.” Schulze co-founded The Ritz-Carlton and served as its Vice President of Operations from 1983 and also served as an Executive Vice President after 1987, where he was instrumental in the conceptualization of the operating and service standards.

Today, Schulze strives to bring that level of excellence to his modern business endeavors. He is currently the chairman and CEO of Capella Hotel Group, where he is launching the newest standard in luxury hotels creating an unmatched tier of customer service. “We hire employees who work in an environment of belonging and purpose. That is my mantra,” explains Schulze, “We foster a climate where the employee can deliver what the customer wants. You cannot deliver what the customer wants by controlling the employee. Employees who are controlled cannot respond caringly, you need superior knowledge and real leadership, not management.”

A charismatic leader and entrepreneur with an intimate understanding of market demands, Schulze creates a legion of loyal customers by raising the bar for customer service expectations to previously unimagined levels. He provides audiences with successful service-oriented strategies to build and maintain lasting customer relationships that keep them coming back for more. A man of rare ability and prophetic vision, Schulze himself was named “Corporate Hotelier of the World” by HOTELS magazine and was awarded the Ishikawa Medal for his contributions to the quality movement.

Clay Clark, who over the years has also worked as a business growth consultant, educator, and entertainer of choice for countless clients, is happy that he is able to change lives with messages like Schulze’s. “This is a way we can do it — on the web,” states Clark, “our mission with this podcast is to help people thrive and live at their peak.”

No matter where he goes in the future, Schulze knows that he will be bringing his unique views on employee satisfaction with him. “We just did an employee survey, asking them how much they cared for our company, on a scale of 1 to 5, five being the highest,” Schulze concludes, “Ninety-four percent answered with a score of five! This is unheard of, totally incredible, I love this company.”

Tampa Software Startup Poised to Expand in the Outdoor Recreation Market

Fragmented, but an emerging outdoor recreation economy motivated RESERVEC to launch its mobile-first reservation platform for both Operators and Millennials

Our mission is to improve the online experience for adventure seekers, while helping operators manage and grow their business by providing the latest reservations technology.”

— Mike Harley, President

TAMPA, FLORIDA, USA, January 29, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — RESERVEC, Inc., a Tampa-based startup software company, announced today the release of its mobile-first reservations technology to serve the large consumer-spending outdoor recreation industry. After three years of assessing the viability for solving a particular need for the small business operator and consumer, the RESERVEC (pronounced "rez-er-veck") founders became motivated to create, launch and expand into an international business by delivering value in a fragmented tours, rentals and activities market while helping adventure seekers find local fun from a single source.

With smartphones in the hands of most people, it is essential for small businesses to prioritize a mobile-first strategy, thus online software and marketing should be their top priority. Mobile phones are transforming lives. Mobile is first for everyone, and is no longer one of many channels to search and find a company, product or service. It is the primary channel for all generations, in particular, Millennials and adventurers on the move.

In the case of RESERVEC, mobile-first is a mindset shift. Mobile-first means delivering a consistent and positive online reservation experience with mobile users in mind. Practically speaking, you need customers to sustain thrive-ability. Businesses have done and will continue to do just about anything – flagger on a street corner, flyer in a hotel lobby, or business card at area restaurants – to increase foot traffic through their door. The shift is quite simple. Businesses need to quickly adjust their thinking by embracing an easy to use, easy to adapt and easy to manage mobile experience for the customer, employee and owner.

Mike Harley, the company's President said, "The light bulb went on many years ago during a Cabo San Lucas family vacation with our teen children (now Millennial adults). Upon arrival at our destination, the conversations quickly turned from 'are we there yet?' to 'what are we doing today?'. Of course, when visiting an unfamiliar destination, the only options for us, the parents, were to send our teenage boys to the resort lobby to collect brochures or search online for companies. In both cases, it was painful to find local fun nearby," Harley stated.

After RESERVEC unveiled its mobile app in early 2018 known as Find Local Rentals, the company started working on Phase II by scaling up its platform to complete at the highest of levels. Mayra and Mike Harley, the founders of RESERVEC, believe the time is ideal to help the inexperienced tour, rental and activities market by providing a simple to use-and-implement online reservation solution. With a combined 60 years of developing and supporting various enterprise systems in the travel and parking industries, the Harley's possess a unique understanding of the challenges and frustrations for the operator and consumer.

RESERVEC designed an unrivaled desktop version whereas the reservation system acts like a mobile app. And for the operator, the mobile dashboard is rich with flexible features to manage pricing, product, inventory and much more. Employees and owners are equipped with the tools they need to access the information when they need it.

In today's climate, no business should expect a visitor on their website to jump through various hoops to find rates and products, and then require the visitor to call, complete a form, send an email or use an old-school shopping cart to reserve an activity. "Just imagine if hotels and car rental companies still required consumers to follow a similar time-consuming protocol. Of course, those days are forever gone", Harley continued.

As the company moves towards 2020, RESERVEC's vision is to modernize reservation technology for current and future generations. It is true that the user experience is always changing and evolving. RESERVEC's mission is to improve the online experience for adventure seekers, while helping operators manage and grow their business by providing the latest reservations technology.

About RESERVEC, Inc.
RESERVEC was formed in 2014 to provide reservations software specifically for the outdoor recreation industry. By leveraging its proprietary technology, including its integrated mobile app, RESERVEC offers rental and tour operators a private-label online reservation system to boost and manage bookings directly on its company website. Through its partnership with CardConnect, a First Data company, RESERVEC is able to offer best-in-class payments technology to ensure accepting debit and credit card payments is always simple, secure and affordable.
