How to Teach English Abroad With no Degree

A myTEFL intern teaching in Myanmar

MyTEFL's internship programs are a great way to begin teaching English abroad with no degree

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, December 2, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — With 2020 fast approaching, many people’s New Year’s resolutions will undoubtedly be to travel more. Travelling is a great way to expand one’s mind, meet new people and escape the stresses of daily life in a new and exciting environment.

However, travelling can be quite expensive and the main thing holding most eager jet setters back is funding, or a lack thereof.

Enter teaching English abroad. Teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) is one of the hottest careers of 2020 and rightfully so. TEFL teachers can earn a great salary teaching English to children (or adults) who will benefit greatly from the experience while also travelling the world and experiencing new adventures every day.

So how does one get into teaching English abroad?

Two common requirements are a TEFL certificate and a bachelor's degree. The TEFL certificate is no problem; it consists of completing a (usually) online course that takes anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months depending on the individual’s learning style and free time. The degree on the other hand is not as simple; it takes 4 years to obtain and costs a lot of money.

Luckily there are still options for people interested in teaching English abroad with no degree!

MyTEFL is very pleased to offer two great internships in Thailand and Myanmar which are open to degree and non-degree holders alike.

These programs are the most popular of all of our internships and for good reason.

Both internships start off with our 120 hour online course. The course is taken completely online and from the comfort of your own home according to your own schedule. While you’re completing the course, our internship team on the ground will be in contact with you helping to arrange your visa, flights, airport pickup etc. They will also be there to answer any questions or concerns you may have during the set up period to ensure the transition from your native country to your desired destination goes as smoothly as possible.

Once your course is complete and all the boxes are checked, it’s time to board your flight and begin your adventure. Our team will be waiting for you at the airport with an air conditioned car to drive you to training headquarters where you will be spending a week of orientation with fellow myTEFL interns.

Orientation is your time fine tune your teaching skills and get adjusted to life in a new and unique country. Our orientation team will be available around the clock to give you guidance, advice and any help you may require.

During orientation, you will be attending lessons on local culture, customs and laws to help ease the inevitable culture shock one experiences when moving to a new country. You will also receive brush up lessons on TEFL and classroom management to help refresh the topics studied in your TEFL course.

Orientation will also consist of a myriad of fun cultural excursions and activities. From visiting an elephant sanctuary in Thailand to strapping on gloves for Burmese boxing in Myanmar, both programs are full of fun adventures and novel experiences.

Free time not spent on lessons or group activities can be spent however you like; visiting tourist attractions, exploring open air markets or indulging in the raucous nightlife the cities have to offer with fellow myTEFL interns.

Early on in the orientation week, interns will also engage in a one-on-one interview with a placement coordinator who will take into account your placement preferences (city or country? Easily accessible to foreigners or off the beaten path?) and try their best to match you up with a job placement that fits your preferences. All employers we place with have been vetted for credibility and offer generous salary packages so you can rest easy knowing that you’ll be in good hands.

The end of orientation will sneak up on you and before you know it, it will be time to say goodbye to all your new friends and head off to your placement to begin life as a TEFL teacher. Don’t worry though, we regularly arrange meetups and social events so it won’t be goodbye forever!

We celebrate one last time together with a big barbecue where we relax, eat drink and make merry before parting ways.

Your employer will be waiting for you at the train/bus station of your new home town to introduce you to your school and help you find suitable accommodations. They will take over from us here to help you with any issues that may arise during your teaching contract.

And just like that you’re teaching English abroad with no degree! While it can be hard to get your foot in the door as a TEFL teacher without a degree, myTEFL’s internship programs offer the perfect opportunity to begin your TEFL adventure.

PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, PALM BEACH, December 2, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Contessa Gallery will be participating in the 30th annual Art Miami Fair. Over the past 30 years, Art Miami has established a well-known reputation for providing fine art collectors with the latest in high quality Contemporary and Modern Art. The fair will begin on December 3rd and run through December 8, 2019. Contessa Gallery is thrilled to present the most recent works by Mr. Brainwash, Brendan Murphy, Hijack, Maria Svarbova, Daniele Sigalot, and David Drebin. This year Contessa Gallery has gone big and bold. This will be the highly anticipated Art Miami/Basel Week debut of Mr. Brainwash’s impressive new Subway piece, the world premiere of Brendan Murphy’s latest chrome sculptures, added new works to Maria Svarbova’s Swimming Pool series, and all new works by Hijack, Daniele Sigalot and David Drebin.

Mr. Brainwash (born Thierry Guetta in 1966) began his artistic career over 17 years ago documenting the underground world of street artists. Eventually this endeavor introduced him to Banksy, who is arguably the most anonymous and famous street artist living today. With the encouragement of Banksy, Guetta began creating his own street art. In 2008, Mr. Brainwash produced an explosive first solo show, Life is Beautiful. The epic display of hundreds of breakthrough works revolutionized the art scene not only in Los Angeles, where the show was held, but worldwide. This phenomenal exhibition skyrocketed Mr. Brainwash’s popularity. His artistic evolution is chronicled in the Academy Award nominated documentary, Exit Through the Gift Shop, coincidently directed by Banksy. Known for his stylistic combination of pop and street art, Guetta creates his works by brilliantly fusing together historical pop imagery with contemporary cultural iconography. This year the gallery is excited to showcase the artist’s continual revolutionary experimentation with new media and subject matter. The special exhibition will showcase his newest broken vinyl record collages, which give both material and subject a new life by “making singers live forever with what they sold.” Mr. Brainwash will also be showcasing a show stopping work of art that features a multi-panel Subway train which consists of mixed media on Aluminum, Plywood, and Plexiglass.

With popular demand, Contessa Gallery is bringing back Hijack this year with all new exciting work that brings viewers attention to todays modern generation. Contessa Gallery will highlight Hijack’s continual evolvement as a studio fine Art Star, in addition to being one of the world’s most respected street and graffiti artists. His talent is showcased in his detailed stencil and oil work, controlled paint drips and striking urban compositions. Working at the intersection between street art and fine art, Hijack presents a refreshing future for the next generation of artists.

A world-renowned artist, Brendan Murphy pushes the walls of creativity beyond the confines of the canvas and has since explored 3-dimensional work, concept pieces, and a wide range of different materials. In doing so, Brendan has developed his own style, a definitively dynamic mix of the abstract and figurative form. Brendan’s talent lies in his ability to balance these various elements of exploration against the backdrop of his greatest inspirations: formulas, equations, relationships, and the spectrum of human emotion. Along with recent paintings from his iconic Chalkboard Series, Contessa Gallery is excited to premiere an all new series of unique, chrome sculptures that are extraordinary in scale and technique. These sculptures are created using a process exclusive to Murphy, resulting in a vibrant chrome-based painted finish. The gallery is looking forward to debuting these exciting new works at Art Miami.

Through his massive paper plane installations made out of aluminum and stainless steel sculptures, Daniele Sigalot is gaining critical acclaim in the fine art world, with major museum shows highlighting his talent. The center of his research spins around the ambiguity between the perception of the materials he uses and their actual nature. His iconic paper plane installations appear ephemeral at first glance, but are in actuality hand-crafted out of metal. This year will be the Art Basel Miami premiere of his latest and greatest body of work to date. “Muhammad Ali,” featuring 2,000 units of handmade aluminum post-it notes, a new dynamic plane sculpture installation, “13 Attempts of Greatness,” and “It Doesn’t Take Magritte to Say this is Not a Paper Plane”.

David Drebin is one of the most successful and highly collected multi-disciplinary artists working today. The gallery will display new, never before seen photographs, light-boxes, and neon light installations by the artist at Art Miami. His works are compilations of alluring fantasies, didactic landscapes and mysterious circumstances, all in some way or another idyllic in appearance.

Maria Svarbova’s Swimming Pool series will be brought again to Art Miami this year with new 2019 photographs added to the collection. Maria Svarbova (B. 1988 – ) is an up and coming game changer in the contemporary art world giving a fresh take on portrait photography. Born in Slovakia one year prior to the end of communism, Svarbova explores the relationship between Socialist era architecture and public space and pulls from the geometric visual elements of functionalist design. Her distinct style departs from traditional portraiture and focuses on experimentation with space, color, and atmosphere. Carefully composed figures create thematic, dream-like scenes with ordinary objects. Her elegant and thought-provoking photographs evoke a contemplative silence, and her postmodern vision boldly articulates a dialogue of the isolation of the human experience.

XTI Aircraft Company Receives Patent from China

Long Distance Point to Point Travel

Company lays foundation for sales in major market for TriFan 600

This is the second major foreign patent issued to the company this year”

— XTI CEO Robert LaBelle

DENVER, COLORADO, USA, December 2, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — XTI Aircraft Company (XTI) announced today that it has received a utility patent from the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) for the technology and configuration of the company’s TriFan 600 vertical takeoff airplane.

“This is the second major foreign patent issued to the company this year,” said Robert LaBelle, Chief Executive Officer of XTI, “as it follows the patent issued by the Japan Patent Office just a few months ago. These two patents together provide broad protection for our unique aircraft in the significant Asian market, and enable us to continue to expand our global market,” said LaBelle.

“As announced earlier, we also conducted a series of successful initial hover tests earlier this year, announced a major collaboration with GE Aviation, and we’ve received 81 orders for the airplane so far,” said LaBelle.

The company also announced in August that it is planning to enter into arrangements with one or more “Alternative Trading Systems” or secondary markets for all XTI shareholders to have the opportunity to offer their shares for sale on a secondary market. This will create liquidity for investors and allow them to buy and sell shares of XTI, and possibly realize a return before the company gets acquired or goes public.

The shares won’t become tradeable until XTI closes its crowdfunding campaign. XTI will announce the date if and when trading on a secondary trading platform becomes available. “XTI will continue to sell shares for $1.50 on StartEngine until the offering closes,” LaBelle added.

“Our offering on the StartEngine platform has provided and continues to provide a rare opportunity for unaccredited and accredited investors around the world to own a piece of the future of flight,” LaBelle said. “The TriFan 600 vertical takeoff airplane will transform air travel.”

The TriFan is a major breakthrough in aviation and air travel. The six-seat TriFan 600 will have the speed, range and comfort of a luxury business aircraft and the ability to take off and land vertically, like a helicopter. It will travel at 345 miles an hour, with a range of up to 1,200 miles. Using three ducted fans, the TriFan lifts off vertically. Its two wing fans then rotate forward for a seamless transition to cruise speed and its initial climb. It will reach 30,000 feet in just ten minutes and cruise to the destination as a highly efficient business aircraft.

“The market continues to recognize the value proposition of our unique and revolutionary airplane and its patented technology,” said LaBelle. “Vertical takeoff combined with long-range, the speed and comfort of a business aircraft, and our quieter and cleaner state-of-the-art hybrid-electric propulsion system.”

Shares in XTI may be purchased for $1.50 a share at https://www.startengine.com/xti-aircraft, providing a unique opportunity for the general public to invest in an aerospace company with a game-changing product, a world-class leadership team, and what the company believes presents significant growth potential. Potential investors should read the Offering Circular before investing.

Simultaneously with the equity crowdfunding financing, accredited investors may participate in XTI’s $25 million Series B round. Accredited investors seeking more information should contact Mr. LaBelle at rlabelle@xtiaircraft.com (571) 216-1594.

Mundunur: A 1,000-Year-Old Italian Medieval Village and South Italy Confront 2020

The Pantano — where rare birds and butterflies fly around grazing cows and horses.

The valley below the village where hundreds of horses roam freely.

Portanuova, one of the ancient passageways through the defensive walls of the village.

Medieval archway that served as one of the gates through the fortified village walls.l

Centuries of farming and animal husbandry in Montenero Val Cocchiara have been replaced by modern conveniences.

Fiat — a symbol of transition from a thousand years of agricultural labor to modern times.

A Encompassing Account of Mundunur (Montenero Val Cocchiara) and Its Historical Relationship with South Italy

Avoids the overwrought and saccharine nostalgia that occasionally mar books on the Italian-American experience. Even those not from… Italy, should still find the book enjoyable and informative.”

— Dr. Ray LaVerghetta, Abruzzo & Molise Heritage Society of Washington DC

SANTA FE, NM, UNITED STATES, December 1, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — For those who have an affinity for sunny southern Italy, the newest book from Via Media Publishing will draw your interest. Enthusiasts of Italian history, culture, and travel will find rich details throughout the pages of Mundunur: A Mountain Village Under the Spell of South Italy.

In standard Italian, Mundunur is commonly known as Montenero, an abbreviation of Montenero Val Cocchiara. Located on the border of Italy’s the Abruzzo and Molise regions, it seems to be a typical mountain village. However, it proves to be more than that. Mundunur offers an unusual perspective for readers. It is an interesting starting point for learning about the centuries of Molise history and its interrelationship with south Italy.

Certainly the village and its people retain unique traditions and character traits because of its relative seclusion. It functioned as an agricultural medieval village for over one thousand years. As fully revealed in this book—its history was tinted by contacts with numerous powerful groups over many centuries. Since Naples was the political and cultural heartbeat of south Italy, it sewed threads that tie Mundunur to a heritage common to all living in the south.

Author Michele DiMarco draws on a rich bibliography and from numerous sources of civil and ecclesiastical archives. He reconstructs Mundunur’s history from its origins to the present day. Given the absence so far of a historical monograph entirely dedicated to this community in the region of Molise, the resulting work fills a void in local historiography.
The volume unfolds in sixteen chapters. In the first three, the author illustrates the history of his family and the link with Mundunur and then reviews all the historical periods from antiquity to the present. He always provides the historical context, taking care to explain to a readership—which may not be very familiar with Italian history—the dynamics and historical processes that affected the history of southern Italy in past centuries.

A century ago Mundunur had a population of two thousand. Today the number of inhabitants is only slightly more than five hundred. The village is now in the process of redefining itself. The agricultural way of life has passed and people are either leaving the village or are hoping for new ways to be employed. Village residents are now in preparation and actively moving toward the future. It is logical that they develop work, such as geotourism, associated with the spended geographic setting and the fascinating breed of Pentro horse that has roamed the scenic valley for over two thousand years.

Many who have long since moved from Mundunur write that the old village is the best place in the world. Their warm and fuzzy sentiments are certainly fostered by heavy doses of nostalgia. However, things are not always the way they seem. There are good reasons why millions left south Italy and why Mundunur’s population today is one-fourth of what it was in 1900. History bears witness to the rough reality of Mundunur, Molise, and southern Italy.

Non-natives are having an influence, such as those from Rome and Naples who have purchased vacation homes in this tranquil setting. New homes are being constructed and wonderful medieval buildings are being refurbished. People with foresight have created new businesses in the village, including an agricultural museum and a yoga/tai chi retreat. Foreigners from Romania, India, the United States, Belgium, and elsewhere have taken up residence in Mundunur. They bring fresh energy and stimulating views. Their influx is not a totally new phenomenon. A millennia of migrations provided Italy with a good mix of DNA, reflected in every century of history. Montenerese may show traces of Greek, Spanish, Arabic, Germanic, and Nordic in their genetic makeup. As the newest members of the village, babies of varied genetic inheritance are learning to walk on the paths formerly used only by farmers and their donkeys.

Like birds in seasonal migration, expatriates return every summer to Mundunur, mostly from the United States, Canada, and a number of European countries. Many maintain ancestral homes here, so it is convenient for them to stay a month or two. Their presence doubles the population, bringing an international flair to every inch of the village. Over many decades, these foreigners have certainly enhanced and supported the village financially, culturally, and emotionally. More so, being infused by blood ties to the village, they have transferred cultural traits from Mundunur to many parts of the world.

People who have roots in the village are often inspired by the lives of their ancestors. By knowing the hardships of their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, they have become energized with a strong work ethic and a desire to not waste time with superficial distractions. In addition to the hard labor required to live in an agricultural village in the High Molise, ancestors experienced the horrors of war, poverty, famine, and earthquakes. Those of the younger generation, without awareness of their roots, have no clear vision for the future. Perhaps if families and friends talked more about ancestors and the past, they would understand the present better—and be inspired for creating the future.

Anyone with roots in south Italy will certainly benefit from reading this book. However, the author’s greater aspiration is that others will equally enjoy the story of Mundunur as a metaphor for their own ancestral village or town, regardless of country—or even see the village as a microcosm of the world, where the forces of history and culture forge the character of people. Hopefully this book will bring topics to the table for many stimulating discussions so more can appreciate their own heritage. Doing so may motivate us to regularly nourish the qualities in our characters that make us better human beings and a vital part of family and community.

The book can now be ordered through Via Media Publishing and Amazon websites.
